Song is sung!
Finished the animation of the song. A few bits I still want to work on before it goes anywhere near my portfolio though...

Blimey! Chimney!
So after roughly 19 hours of solid rendering, my lip sync is finished! (I just wanted to make it look fancy) Morpheus is a bit shiny though... maybe he worked up a sweat getting onto the roof!

Lip Sync Progress
Not much to say really, just progress on the lip sync. Moved it from stepped into spline mode, there were ALOT of issues with it, especially with trying to keep the elbow still. There are still a few bits that can do with being smoother, his eyes need fixing a bit too, they're floating about rather unnaturally. But not far to go!

Song progress
The song has been a fair bit quicker than I expected. (I might even get it finished in time!) I guess the more you do this animation stuff the faster you get... heh, who knew right?

Wonkey Donkey
So we've been given a selection of music to animate to, with the warning that whichever song we choose, we'll have to listen to it so many times it may just drive us crazy... and it already has started to. Though I'm keeping this idea subtle, so it should hopefully be pretty straight forward.... hopefully...
This time I'm putting on the lip sync before step blocking. I don't really know if it will be any quicker/easier, but when it came to doing the lip sync when the character was already step blocked, it was a bit distracting having the face moving about a lot.

Lip Sync
I've started step blocking the lip syncing, originally I did a lip sync test on the morpheus face rig to get to grips with the method, though unfortunately I didn't save it as I'm a bit of a buffoon, but here's the attempt of lip sync with step blocking.

More sketches
Went to the cafe with a couple of friends again to do some quick posing sketches, though there weren't many people about to draw and they all moved too quickly, so instead I just started making random characters, here are a few I liked.
